BUCKLAND WHARF TO GREEN PARK

In terms of restoration, the section from Drayton to Halton presents some difficulties, some of which occur in the section between Buckland and Green Park. As well as a dropped bridge (consisting of an Armaco tube) under the A41, there is the substantial section that is lined in concrete at Green Park. The canal is a broad waterway and this concrete channel is too narrow even for (pardon the pun) narrow boats - it was built at a time when navigation to Wendover was thought to be no longer possible.
