The stretch from Green Park to Halton continunes through attractive woodland, with occasional views that open up a vista to the north from the canal's fairly high position up on the Chiltern Escarpment. The canal passes the playing fields that form part of Halton Camp. The most elaborate bridge on the entire canal can be found on this section just before Halton. Its known as Rothschild Bridge.

Rothschild Bridge

At Halton one of the most serious obstacles to restoration occurs. The dropped bridge here presents a problem because the road approaches have also been levelled and the road widened for modern day traffic. Nevertheless, despite this problem, the canal environment here is very attractive.
