HALTON TO THE WIDES

The attractive cottages by the canal at Halton Bridge

The Wendover's towpath changes for the third time at Halton. One can gain views along the towpath of the countryside that lies north of the Chiltern Escarpment. The canal soon turns to head southwards towards the terminus at Wendover.

The canal skirts round Halton towards Perch Bridge This is Perch bridge, near Halton, en route to Wendover

South of Halton, a further obstruction occurs in the form of a pipeline across the canal; adjacent to Perch Bridge (as seen above right.)
